“Poshan Maah 2018” celebrations at Mother Teresa Home

18th September 2018: “Poshan Maah 2018” was celebrated at Mother Teresa Home, Sector -23, Chandigarh by the Dietetics department, Health Department, GMSH-16, Chandigarh. The theme of the show remained as Healthy Platter for Healthy living.

The sisters of the home were sensitized with regard to fortification of the food and supplements of nutrients to be added in their daily diet so to keep our special friends nourished for their healthy day to day lifestyle.  The food handlers, cooks, supervisors were sensitized along with the special children about the hand washing techniques so that they can keep their surroundings clean to maintain hygiene under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The children enjoyed the company of the Chief Dietician Mrs. Manisha Arora  and her team which made special friends’ platter more meaningful, tasteful and nutrients  enriched. One of special friend Mr. Salil sang a song which made the environment more lively and full of energy. The sister of the home accompanied the team for extending their warmth in making the life of the children more meaningful. The Director Health & Family Welfare Dr. G. Dewan, assured the regular visit of the medical and dietetics department for the welfare of the special friends and interacted with the children  in playful mood so that they could accept the  change in  their diet  to make it more healthy and nourished to make the Poshan Maah more productive in their lives.
