Redressal of pending demand concerning the Industries Association of Chandigarh and Chandigarh Beopar Mandal
Chandigarh, 4th September, 2018: The Industries Association of Chandigarh and Chandigarh Beopar Mandal had represented before the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore regarding the issues pertaining to their functioning in Chandigarh. The demands of the Associations focused majorly on “Allowing of additional activities in consonance with MSMED ACT, other than the 2-3 activities allowed in the first ever Industrial Policy 2015 of Chandigarh and also to frame suitable rules for its implementation, Suitable policy for conversion of plots from Lease-hold to Free-hold basis including the transfer from Lease-hold to Lease-hold, Need based changes in the architectural controls in accordance with modern day industrial requirements, etc.
Taking a step towards redressing the grievances of the members of the Industries Association and Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, the Chandigarh Administration with the approval of Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore has constituted Committees to work on the pending issues of Traders and Industrial Association and Chandigarh Beopar Mandal, and put forward their recommendations/suggestions to sort out the problems cited. The committees consist of:
1. Regarding Issues of Industrial Associations:
a) Finance Secretary- Chairman
b) Estate Officer
c) Chief Engineer, UT
d) Director Industries-Member Secretary
e) Chief Architect, UT
f) Member Secretary, CPCC
g) President, Industries Association of Chandigarh
h) President, Chamber of Chandigarh Industry, Chandigarh
i) President, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Chandigarh
j) President, Chandigarh Industrial Youth Association
2. Regarding Issues of Beopar Mandal
a) Finance Secretary- Chairman
b) Estate Officer
c) Commissioner, Municipal Corporation
d) Commissioner, Excise and Taxation-Member Secretary
e) Chief Engineer, UT
f) Chief architect, UT
g) President, Beopar Mandal and two other nominees.
