Chandigarh, 1st November,
2018:The citizens of UT Chandigarh can now drop in their complaints,
grievances and suggestions/feedbacks, in the form of letter, in the newly
installed ‘Administrator’s Open House Grievance Box’ kept outside Punjab Raj
Bhavan, Sector 6, Chandigarh. This is in addition to the first such
‘Administrator’s Open House Grievance Box’ installed in the U.T. Secretariat at
Sector 9, Chandigarh.
The grievances of
people obtained from the box shall be taken up by the officers of the
respective Department on a daily basis and interim status shall be communicated
to the complainant. The matter will be taken up by the Hon’ble Administrator
for proactive redressal of the grievance with the complainant only if not
addressed by the concerned department.
It is yet another
step towards increasing accessibility, transparency and efficiency of the
administration. Earlier
this year, the Administrator had also organized an Open House session with
public wherein he directly listened and addressed the grievances of people.
