Kaya Kalp Award function

Chandigarh, 27 November, 2018: Kaya Kalp Award function was organized at State Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Government Multi specialty Hospital, Sector 16 under the leadership of Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health & Family Welfare cum Mission Director - National Health Mission today.
During the event,  Director Health & Family Welfare motivated the safai karamcharis for taking active part in the uplifting and maintenance of health facilities in implementation of Bio- medical waste in commitment to Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and awards were given to the 25 safai karamcharis of GMSH Sector 16, Civil Hospital Sector 22, 45, Manimajra and allied dispensaries and 

Carrying forward the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan launched by the  Hon’ble Prime Minister on 2nd October, 2014, that focuses on promoting cleanliness in public space,s the Health Department Chandigarh has been taking forward these initiatives for improving hygiene in hospitals which is critical for preventing infections and also provide patients with the positive experience and encourage moulding behavior related to clean environment. As the first principle of healthcare is "to do no harm" it is essential to have our health care facilities clean and to ensure adherence to infection control practices.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
