Additional Solicitor General of India visits Child Care Institution Snehalaya


 Chandigarh, 9th December 2018: The Social Welfare Committee Constituted by the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator U.T., Chandigarh under the chairmanship of Sh. Satya Paul Jain, Additional Solicitor General of India visited Child Care Institution Snehalaya. Other members of Committee were Ms. Ruchi Singh, Director Social Welfare, Mrs. Sangeeta Vardhan, Chairperson CWC, Dr. Shruti Aagarwal, Sh. Narinder Chaudhary and Dr. Ravneet alongwith other nominated members.

The Committee also interacted with the children of the home. Sh. Satya Paul Jain expressed his satisfaction about the overall working of Snehalaya. He also interacted with the children in private and children raised some demands like Kabaddi ground, Cricket Net, consultancy regarding Army entry etc. The Chairperson assured to fulfil all the demands raised by the children. He also assured that he will be visiting again very shortly and shall spend some quality time with the children.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
