Administrator Launched the e-Vigilance Portal

Chandigarh, 18th December 2018: Hon'ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT, Chandigarh launched the e-Vigilance Portal today at Punjab Raj Bhawan, UT, Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Advisor to the Administrator and Sh. B.L. Sharma, IAS, Secretary Vigilance.

The Vigilance Clearance is required in respect of all the officers/officials of Chandigarh Administration on various occasions like promotion, ACP, Ex-India Leave, deputation, retirement etc. The process till date has been the manual one which took around 20 to 30 days. 


To streamline the process and cut short the processing time, the Vigilance Department in collaboration with NIC, Chandigarh developed e-vigilance portal for the convenience of employees of the Chandigarh Administration. More than 33000 employees of Chandigarh Administration, Boards, Corporations & PSUs will get benefited from the e-vigilance portal. The time for vigilance clearance has been cut short to maximum 2-3 working days.
Now, the departments have to apply online on the e-Vigilance portal to get the Vigilance Clearance Certificate. A provision has also been made in the e-vigilance portal, for uploading the pending departmental inquiry proceedings, which would be mandatory for all the HODs to update. On the e-vigilance portal, the Vigilance Clearance can be provided in transparent and time bound manner.

The Vigilance Department have been working on this portal under the guidance of Adviser to the Administrator-cum-Chief Vigilance Officer and senior officers of Vigilance Department.

 Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Secretary Sports, Sh. Harish Nayar, IAS, Special Secretary Vigilance, Sh. Vivek Verma, SIO NIC and other officials of Vigilance Department, Chandigarh Administration were also present during the launch.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
