GST COACH App Launched by the Administrator

Chandigarh, 18th December 2018: A mobile application regarding latest updated/amended Goods & Service Tax (GST) namely GST COACH, was launched by Sh. V.P Singh Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T., Chandigarh.

The app is re launched today for two reasons, i.e. firstly the student/users mark of PAN India crossed 1, 11,000 and exact number today is 1,11,606 and secondly all the changes in law are made in the online courses on the app. The app is completely free and there are no user charges. This GST Coach App was launched at Chandigarh on 11th June, 2017 by Sh. Arjun Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State in Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India and other Government dignitaries including Mrs. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, Chandigarh. This app acts as a coach for preparing the masses to adapt/understand the GST laws/rules which is applicable in country w.e.f. 1st July, 2017. The main body controlling these laws is Goods and Services Tax Council, which is headed by Sh. Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister, as ex-officio Chairman and the Finance Ministers of all the states are members. The GST Council, since implementation of GST law in India, met 30 times, took 918 decisions since its Constitution and 96% of decisions already been implemented through 294 Notifications. All the referred changes have been embedded in the courses available on this app.

The GST courses include Central GST Act, State GST Act, UT GST Act, Integrated GST Act, CGST Rules, GST Forms. Apart from this the app has inbuilt portal for users where they can pose queries, discuss issues and frame solutions.  The app has been created by Ajay Jagga, a local Tax Advocate and author of two books i.e. A Guide to Concept of GST and One Nation One Tax.The app is available on Google Play Store.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
