National Level Kala Utsav: Harsimranjot Kaur bags 1st position in Music for UT, Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 17th December 2018: State Level Kala Utsav was celebrated as per the guidelines of MHRD/NCERT from 15th to 20thNovember, 2018 at Bhavan Vidayalaya Sector-27 and GGMSSS-18, Chandigarh.

Students who attained 1st position at cluster level participated in four different events i.e. Dance, Music (Vocal), Music (Instrumental) and Painting   during State level Kala Utsav.  1st position holders (04 boys and 04 girls) in each event at State level further participated in National level event of Kala Utsav which was held from 12th to 14th December, at National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi.

Adding to Chandigarh’s pride, Harsimranjot Kaur student of GGMSSS-18  bagged 1st position in Music (Vocal) in National level Kala Utsav wherein students from all over the country participated.  It was a historic moment when she was awarded with cash prize of Rs. 12500/- , Medal and Trophy  by  Mrs. Rina Ray, Secretary , Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, New Delhi during the closing ceremony of the Kala Utsav 2018 on 15th December , 2018 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi .

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
