Foundation Stone Laid for Masters in Architecture Block at Chandigarh College of Architecture


Chandigarh, 26th February 2019: The foundation stone for Masters in Architecture block was laid in Chandigarh College of Architecture today by Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament, U.T. Chandigarh accompanied by Mr. Kanwar Rana, Deputy Mayor and Raj Bala Malik, Counselor in the presence of Dr Sh. Mukesh Anand, Special Secretary, Engineering Department; and Sh. Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh, Sangeeta Bagga Mehta, Principal, Chandigarh College of Architecture.

Smt. Kirron Kher performed the tuck ceremony for laying the foundation stone and expressed her happiness for being in the presence of creative minds of the college and felt honored to be working for Chandigarh relentlessly as a true daughter of the city. She then urged the Engineering Department to complete the construction of the masters’ block as early as possible.

The event was also graced by Ar. S.D.Sharma, Ms. Sapna Kumar, Chief Architect, Punjab; Ms Maitreyi Gupta, Chief Architect, Haryana; Mr. S.K. Midha, former Chief Architect, Department of Urban Planning, Chandigarh and Prof. Rajnish Wattas, former Principal, Chandigarh College of Architecture courtyard.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
