State-level Talent-Hunt Prize Distribution function organized for Children with Special Needs

Chandigarh, 28th February 2019: Children with Special Needs of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 10 (GMSSS-10) participated in a State-level Talent Hunt Prize Distribution function organised at the school to acknowledge and celebrate inclusiveness in Government Schools of Chandigarh. The entire event was well thought-out vis-à-vis Samagra Shiksha - an overarching programme for the school education sector prepared with the broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities to Children with Special Needs and equitable learning outcomes.
The function took a head start with a formal welcome of the Chief Guest, Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director School Education (DSE), by Sh. Harbir Singh Anand, Principal GMSSS-10. Mrs Saroj Mittal & Mrs Suman Sharma Deputy Directors and Mission Coordinator, Ms Alka Mehta graced the event to lend their support to the youngsters. A team from Samagra Shiksha Chattisgarh was also the notable dignitary present at the function. The programme further preceded by giving Shraddhanjali to the Indian Soldiers, by Prerna, a student of GSSS Dhanas. Amidst all the accolades, the students of CWSN, Cluster No.7 &1 also entertained the audience through their rapturous performances by showcasing a Haryanvi Dance. 
Furthermore, the Chief Guest credited the staff and students for their hard work and reiterated that collaborated efforts like these take the school to greater heights. Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar further congratulated and distributed prizes to 60 Children with Special Needs who have excelled in area of Academics, Social Activities, Sports etc. Thefunction concluded with a vote of thanks and National Anthem in Sign Language.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
