Administrator inaugurates 4960 Flats at Maloya Housing Complex

Chandigarh, 3rd March 2019: The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, U.T Chandigarh inaugurated 4960 flats at Maloya Housing Complex and Member of Parliament, Smt. Kirron Kher handed over the allotment letters to the beneficiaries of flats at Maloya today in the presence of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator and other officers of Chandigarh Administration.

“The day is dedicated to all the beneficiaries today”, said Smt. Kirron Kher, Member of Parliament while addressing the audience at the event today. She further said that this is an overwhelming initiative by the Chandigarh Administration towards making Chandigarh a Slum Free City.

The Member of Parliament has given 20 lakhs under the MPLAD scheme for the sports equipments and other infrastructure for this complex. Smt. Kirron Kher congratulated the beneficiaries and said this initiative is a step towards the Government of India scheme, Sankalp Se Siddhi.

The Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Manoj Parida said, “ I am extremely happy that Chandigarh Administration has been successful in fulfilling the dream of having one’s own house. I urge all the allotees to keep it clean which would enable Chandigarh to maintain a status of Model City.”

Chandigarh Housing Board has been an implementing agency of the Chandigarh Administration which till date has completed construction of 17696 small flats. 

With regard to Social Infrastructure at Maloya, 2 schools, Community Centre, Janj-Ghar have also been constructed.  Further, for daily needs of residents. 7 porta cabins have been constructed and 2 places have been earmarked for setting up of Verka /Vita Milk bars.  Furthermore, 2 Bus Queue Shelters have been constructed in this area. 

Today, during the function, allotment letters to 100 beneficiaries were given. To hand over the allotment letters to rest of the beneficiaries, Chandigarh Housing Board is also organizing a camp in the Chandigarh Housing Board office complex, sector 9 with following schedule

1. Allottees names starting from alphabet A to I on 5th March at 10:00 AM
2. Allottees names starting from alphabet J to L on 5th March at 2:00 PM
3. Allottees names starting from alphabet M to P on 6th March at 10:00 AM.
4.  Allottees names starting from alphabet R on 6th March at 2:00 pm
5.  Allottees names starting from alphabet S on 7th March at 10:00 AM
6.  Allottees names starting from alphabet T to Z on 7th March at 2:00 PM

The  Allottees can attend the camp with original acceptance letter issued by CHB and Aadhar Card. 

Present among others at the event were Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Finance Secretary, Sh. Yashpal Garg, CEO Chandigarh Housing Board, Sh. K K Yadav, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, DGP, Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. OP Mishra, IGP, and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.

Administrator Launches Website of Sports Department Chandigarh

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
