Administrator Inaugurates inaugurates Industrial Fair: Chandikrit 2019


Chandigarh, 8th March 2019: The Industries Department, U.T., Chandigarh has organized a three days Industrial Fair CHANDIKRIT-2018 at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh which has been inaugurated today by Sh. VP Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator and other senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.
The three day Industrial Fair will give a platform to Medium, small and micro scale industrial entrepreneurs for exhibiting their products from 8th March to 10th March, 2019. 
CHANDIKRIT is an industrial fair that is organized annually by the Industries Department, U.T., Chandigarh with an aim to provide the local industry a direct interface with the public to showcase their products. This fair also offers a colorful display of cultural events, food stalls etc.
The fair is the one stop destination for getting the authentic consumer goods right from the manufacturers at unmatchable prices. With more than 150 stalls, this fair will exhibit diverse products at factory rates. A seminar will also be conducted for exploring opportunities during Business to Business meet.

Different departments of Chandigarh Administration have also placed their stall at the fair to educate and aware the public about programmes/schemes of Chandigarh Administration like Election Department, Mental Health Institute, Social Welfare Department. The Administrator visited every stall and also took the demonstration of VVPAT machine at the stall of Election Department.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
