Chandigarh, 22nd March 2019: For the smooth conduct of
General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2019 of Chandigarh Parliamentary Constituency,
the Election Commission of India has specified the provision that “All banks or
post offices to ensure that they open dedicated counters for election purpose
to facilitate prompt service to the election candidates in opening of bank
accounts. They should also allow withdrawals and deposits from the said account
on TOP PRIORITY to the election candidates during election period.”
