Adviser flags off HVAC buses at ISBT, Sector 17 Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 1st April 2019: The Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Manoj Parida, flagged off the HVAC buses at ISBT, Sector 17, Chandigarh today in the presence of Sh. AK Singla, Secretary Transport, Chandigarh Administration.
Chandigarh Transport Undertaking is operating 128 Inter-State buses on 51 routes in adjoining States of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Uttar Pradesh and National Capitol Delhi. CTU is going to replace old fleet of ordinary buses with 120 HVAC buses in three lots. The First lot of 40 HVAC buses has been ordered to M/s TATA motors. 5 HVAC buses have been delivered and are being flag off today, rest 35 HVAC buses are likely received in 10-15 days. The 2nd lot of 40 HVAC is likely to be received within next 4-5 months.
These buses have latest technology electronically controlled Diesel Engines. All buses are equipped with CCTV cameras, LED Route boards, and GPS Devices for tracking of buses in real time. Each row of seat is equipped with reading lights, mobile charging points, A.C. Louvers etc. The live location, expected time of arrival, expected time of departure of long route buses can be tracked on “CTU BUS TRACKER APP” which can be downloaded from ‘Google App Store’
The 05 HVAC buses which are being flagged off today will be operated on following routes:-
          1) Chandigarh to Delhi
          2) Chandigarh to Ludhiana
          3) Chandigarh to Patiala.

Rest of 35 HVAC buses will be operated on following routes covering most of religious as well as tourist attractions nearby Chandigarh:-
1)    Chandigarh to Delhi
2)    Chandigarh to Rohtak
3)    Chandigarh to Amritsar
4)    Chandigarh to Baijnath.
5)    Chandigarh to Manali
6)    Chandigarh to Katra.
7)    Chandigarh to Shimla
8)    Chandigarh to Dehradun
9)    Chandigarh to Dharamshala

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
