Additional Deputy Commissioner takes review meeting of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana


Chandigarh, 21st June 2019: A review meeting of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Sachin Rana, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh with the officials of Implementing Support Agency (ISA).

The Agency officials shared that as of now golden records 29668 beneficiaries from 8538 families have been generated against the targeted data of 23678 families that comprises around 1 lakh individual beneficiaries. In U.T. Chandigarh, 10 private and 5 government hospitals are empanelled under this scheme. Till now, cashless health care services worth Rs. 73.90 lakh have been provided to the U.T. beneficiaries through these Empanelled Health Care Providers.

The Agency has set up Arogya Mitra counters at all secondary level government hospitals for golden record generation and issuance of scheme card to the listed families. The beneficiary families can visit these Mitra Counters to get any information or assistance regarding the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Besides these stations, the National Health Agency has also authorized Common Service Centre Volunteers to make the services of golden record generation and issuance of PMJAY card available at the door steps of the beneficiaries. The Additional Deputy Commissioner has directed the agency officials to make every possible effort in issuing the scheme card to the eligible left out families.

Ayushman Bharat is a centrally sponsered scheme that was launched nationwide on 23rd September, 2018.The scheme aims at making interventions in primary, secondary and tertiary care systems, covering both preventive and promotive health, to address healthcare holistically.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
