Anti Encroachment Drive continues in Sector 22- More Illegal Vendors removed

Chandigarh, 2nd August 2019: The anti encroachment drive was continued in Sector 22 Shastri Market and surrounding areas wherein the illegal vendors ( without any license) were removed. Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Nilambari Jagadale, SSP were also present at site today to reviewed the drive .

Further, action will  be taken against Shopkeepers of the Shastri Market for encroaching upon common spaces and walls. The drive will continue till all the illegal vendors are removed from the site. Only the vendors with license will be allowed to sit at their earmarked sites, whereas others will be challaned. Till now, 49 challans have been issued and goods were seized.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
