Chandigarh,
13th August 2019: The second Mentorship
Programme for M.Arch students was successfully conducted at Chandigarh College
of Architecture (CCA), Chandigarh. The
Principal, Dean of Academics and core faculty of M.Arch also participated in
the daylong event. Dr Sangeeta Bagga,
Principal, CCA said in her welcome address that the postgraduate course at
Chandigarh College of Architecture was a long felt need of students and this
year all twenty seats were filled through all India competition. She also informed that students are deeply
enriched by the mentorship which aims at bringing them into the mainstream of
postgraduate studies.
Prof. R Shankar from IIT Roorkee set forth the tone
of mentorship and was able to provide the larger paradigm under which the
students could understand the context of research and design. For Prof. Shankar “Everything comes into
focus when we realize the inter connectedness of every single entity in the
University”. Mr Raman Vig mentored a
very incisive role which made the students question their reasons for joining the
M.Arch course. He also suggested
possibilities for the future if we have to be relevant and useful to the
society at large. His emphasis was on “Bio-Energetic
Architecture – Building Design for Health, Happiness and Harmony”.
