Chandigarh, 2nd August 2019: A meeting to review the preparations  at District level of Pre test for conducting 2021 -Census and updation was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Abhishek Jain, IAS, Director Census, Operations and Citizen Registration, Chandigarh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the presence of Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner Chandigarh.

It was discussed thay a pretest of census of 2021 will be held from 12.08.2019 to 30.09.2019 in Manimajra (19 enumerations blocks), Kaimbwala (10 enumerations blocks) for the purpose of pre-rehearsal of census.

The enumerators will be given a three days training starting 6th August in this regard. Introduced for the first time, the process of enumeration can be done with the help of a bilingual mobile app. The entire process will be monitored via a Census Web Portal.
The general public of the concerned area are requested to kindly cooperate with the enumerators who will be visiting the house hold for census enumeration work.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
