Chandigarh, 1st August 2019: The Engineering Department of Administration has completed the construction of Secondary School building in Maloya in an area of 5.71 acres having 49 rooms at a cost of Rs. 20 crores. Finishing touches are being given to the school building/infrastructure.  Electricity connection and water supply have been provided to the school.

Today, a team headed by Sh. B.L. Sharma, Secretary (Education), Sh. R.S. Brar, Director (School Education), and Sh. Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer visited the site of the school for reviewing final preparation for making the school operation by Monday i.e. 05.08.2019. Secretary (Education) has issued directions to officers concerned for taking all necessary steps for operationalization of school from 05.08.2019.

Children of the families who have shifted to Rehabilitation Colony, Maloya will be admitted in the Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya.

The number of students in Govt. High School, Colony No. 4 is 1800, out of which about 750 students have shifted to Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya.  These 750 students will be admitted to Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya straightaway, other students whose parents will be shifting to the Rehabilitation Colony, Maloya will also be admitted to Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya as and when they will shift.

Education Department has issued order of posting of 18 JBTs and 7 TGTs in the Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya. 04 Class IV employees also been posted for rendering support services.

Mrs. Seema Rani, Principal, Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Dhanas has been given additional charge of Govt. Model High School, Rehabilitation Colony (II), Maloya.
