One-day state mourning as mark of respect to Smt.Sushma Swaraj


Chandigarh, 7th August 2019: As a mark of respect to Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Union External Home Affairs, one day State Mourning will be observed throughout the Union Territory on 7th August 2019, and the National Flag will be flown at half mast throughout the Union Territory, Chandigarh where it is flown regularly. In continuation to the same, half day will be observed as holiday in all Government Offices/Boards/Corporations including Educational Institutions under the Chandigarh Administration.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
