Administrator reviews Restoration Work of Government Buildings in Sector 17 and Coversion of Government Press Building into Museum for Heritage Furniture


Chandigarh, 25th Sepetember 2019: A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Sh. VP Singh Badnore, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator UT, Chandigarh in the presence Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. J M Balamurugan, Secretary to Governor and other senior officials of Chandigarh Administration.

The Administrator reviewed the progress of various works being undertaken by Engineering Department in Sector 17, Chandigarh. He has directed to expedite the work relating to the restoration work of  Government buildings in Sector 17 i. e
30 Base Building, 17 Base Building, Town Hall Building, Additional Town Hall Building, Library, Northern and Southern Plaza, private buildings etc.

The Administrator has also decided that rehabilitation work of Government Press Building should also be started on priority basis, so that the same can be converted into a Museum for Heritage Furniture, Vintage Cars etc.

Public Camp Chandigarh, 28 January, 2016 :-  It is for the information of the general public that the public camp for 29/01/2016 is to be held at community centre of Sector 45. The sectors covered in the camp would be Sector 44, 45 including burial Village, 46 and 33 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM.
