Awareness Camp on importance of Nutrition for TB patients



Chandigarh.25th Sep, 2019:- “TB Harega Desh Jetega with Pura Course of TB treatment and proper nutritional support ” said by Dr. G.Dewan, Mission Director cum Director Health Services Chandigarh while distributing Nutritional supplement to  MDR-TB and TB patients at Civil Dispensary, Ramdarbar Chandigarh. He also announced Govt. of India’s Notification of providing Rs. 500/- to every TB patient per month till completion of treatment.

Govt. of India is observing this  month as Poshan Mah i.e. Nutritional Month, in view of this Chandigarh Health Department in collaboration with Rotary Midtown created awareness amongst general public as well as TB patients regarding importance of diet specially patients suffering from Tuberculosis  for rapid recovery.

Nutritional supplement was also distributed to MDR-TB & TB patients by Rotary Midtown. Mr. Salil Bali, President, Rotary Midtown said that Nutritional supplement will be provided every month to MDR-TB & TB patients till the completion of Treatment.

On this occasion,  Dr. Honney Sawhney, Nodal Officer RNTCP Chandigarh generated awareness regarding  regular and complete treatment.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
