Demolition drive at Revenue Estate of Village Khuda Alisher and Village Kaimbwala,Chandigarh by  Land Acquisition Office


Chandigarh, 30th September 2019: A demolition drive was carried out today at the Revenue Estate of Village Khuda Alisher, Chandigarh and Village Kaimbwala (Catchment area of Sukhna Lake) by the Land Acquisition Office, Chandigarh led by Ms. Nazuk Kumar, Land Acquisition Officer.  

As per the directions of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court, around 10 illegal structures were demolished by the Enforcement Wing accompanied by police force.  Further, the villagers were made aware about the Periphery Act. These types of drives will be carried out in future on regular basis to check the illegal construction in periphery area of Union Territory, Chandigarh.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
