The Adviser to the Administrator Sh. Manoj Parida visited the Capitol Complex
today to inspect the installation of sculpture designed by Le Corbusier.
Sculptures will be
built on pedestal on the theme “ End of British Empire and the Freedom
Struggle” for which the stones will be imported from Rajasthan.
Further on the existing ramp there will be
inscriptions carved in stone for which suggestions from public will be
invited.
The budget of this
entire project is Rs 1 Crore. Secretary,
Cultural Affairs has been made the nodal officer for this project.
Present among senior
officers were Principal Secretary Home, Finance Secretary, Chief Architect,
Chief Engineer, Chairman Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy.
