Sports Department invites ‘Sports Talent Scholarship’ for the outstanding players of UT

Chandigarh. 24th September,2019. The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration has decided to allow Sports Talent Scholarship to the outstanding players who have represented UT, Chandigarh during the year 2018-19 (1.4.2018 to 31.3.2019) and  attained the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the recognized games i.e. Archery, Athletic, Badminton, Basketball,  Boxing, Baseball, Cricket, Canoeing/Kayaking, Cycling, Fencing, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Handball, Judo, Kabaddi, Kho Kho, Lawn Tennis, Rifle Shooting, Rowing, Skating, Swimming, Softball, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

The scholarship form shall be filled up ONLINE at the website:- http://sportsdeptt.chd.gov.in. from 25th September, 2019 to 25th October, 2019 till 5.00 pm.   Candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling up the scholarship form which are given on above website.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
