Two joint teams of Food Safety Officers for the enforcement of the Food Safety

Chandigarh, 26th September 2019: The Health Department Chandigarh has setup two joint teams of Food Safety Officers for the enforcement of the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 during coming festive season.

Two teams will work round the clock to check any violation of quality and hygiene standards of food material. A 24x7 helpline (0172-2782457) has been setup for taking up the complaints of general public. Public is requested to purchase the sweet meat items and confectionery items from Licensed /Registered food vendor only. In case of any grievances the compliant can be made on the helpline Number.

Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017

Chandigarh 10 th August 2017: In compliance of the directions of the Government of India to take steps for improvement of ranking in “Ease of Doing Business’ index, the Chandigarh Administration has notified Chandigarh Building Rules (Urban) 2017.
