Chandigarh Housing Board to Organize Workshop on Need Based Changes


Chandigarh, 4th October 2019: Certain need based changes in dwelling units of Chandigarh Housing Board were recently permitted. Thereafter a Penalty Scheme was introduced which provides temporary exemption from immediate demolition upto 31.12.2020 so that the allottees may get some time to rectify the violations in conformity with the need based changes orders. There is an important role of the qualified empanelled Structural Engineer and empanelled Architects with regard to the permitted Need Based Changes and the Penalty Scheme.

The Chandigarh Housing Board is organizing a workshop on the permitted Need Based Changes on 09.10.2019 (Wednesday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM at Auditorium Hall, Govt. Museum & Art Gallery, Sector-10 Chandigarh. The objective of the workshop is to make the empanelled Architects and the empanelled Structure Engineers aware about the procedural aspects of the various clauses of the Need Based Changes order dated 15.02.2019 and the Penalty Scheme dated 15.07.2019.

A presentation will be made regarding the permitted Need Based Changes and the procedure for regularization of existing violations/permission for additional construction and charges payable for the same. The office bearers of Residential Welfare Associations can also attend the workshop for better awareness about the Need Based Changes. Individual allottees should not attend the workshop because individual issues/queries will not be taken up in the workshop.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote".
