Special Casual Leave for employees registered as voters in Haryana


Chandigarh, 18th October,2019 :The Chandigarh Administration has decided to grant Special Casual Leave on 21.10.2019 (Monday) to all those voters/ employees who are working with Chandigarh Administration/ Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions/  Industries/ Factories/ Private Sectors/ Shops and also fall within the purview of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 and are registered voters in Haryana.

This step has been undertaken to enable those enable those who are registered voters in Haryana, to exercise their franchise in the ensuing Legislative Assembly Election  of Haryana on 21.10.2019  (Monday).

The daily   wage   employees   in   Industrial  Shops   and   Commercial Establishments   would  be entitled to the benefits  of  paid  holiday   extended under  Section 135B(I)  of  the Representation of the People  Act, 1951.
