Education Department holds written test for NTT & Headmaster/ Headmistress posts


Chandigarh, 16th November 2019:The Education Department, UT Chandigarh today held written test for the Post of NTT and Headmaster  held at 14 Examination Centres in Government Schools of UT Chandigarh. It is worth mentioning that the UT Administration had advertised 131 posts of NTT for which 6052 applications were received. For 07 posts of Headmaster/Headmistress, 224 applications were received.

The complete work related to the recruitment of NTT was assigned to NITTTR, Sector 26, Chandigarh. 

Out of the 6052 candidates who had applied for NTT posts approx 3831 (64%) candidates appeared for written test. Further, 151 (68%) candidates took the test for the post of Headmasters.

Jammers were also installed by BEL, Bio-metric attendance of the candidates was also taken. Besides,  6 PCS/HCS officers of Chandigarh Administration were deputed as independent observers on various test centres.

Approximately 75 Police Personnel were deputed to undertake the frisking process, to provide security to examination centres and examination material. Apart from this, Observers and Supervisors were deputed by NITTTR for smooth conduct of examination.

The confidential examination material (question booklets and answer sheets) was shifted by a team of NITTTR consisting of Observer, Supervisor, Personnel of Police and Videographer to all the examination centres.

One of the special measures undertaken included the entire process including opening of sealed packet of question booklet, identification of students, sealing of unused question booklets and used answer sheets being video graphed.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
