Chandigarh.14 January, 2020.With the gazette notification of 188 public services being provided by the five major public dealing departments viz. DC Office, Estate Office, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh Housing Board and Registering & Licensing Authority, the Right to Service Act has come into operation in the UT of Chandigarh since October, 2019
The Chandigarh Right to Service Commission has been monitoring the implementation of the Right to Service Act by the above-mentioned departments on regular basis.
As per the reports received from these departments, they have been able to dispose of 99% of the applications (received in their offices in respect of the notified public services), well within the prescribed time-limits! Department-wise reports for the months of November & December are annexed herewith as Annexure A& B.
Now, in its second phase, the Commission has taken up the matter with regard to notification of the public services of all the remaining departments who are providing any kind of public services to the people of UT Chandigarh. For the purpose, letters have been issued to all such departments on 13th January only to furnish complete lists of their public services latest by 31st January, 2020

Administrator Launches Website of Sports Department Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 18 th  December 2018:  The website of Department of Sports, UT Chandigarh  http://www.sportsdeptt.chd. gov.in  has been launched today  by Hon’ble Governor Punjab & Administrator, U.T, Chandigarh, Shri. “Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. As part of this campaign, IMA has designed stickers with the message “Vote for a healthy democracy”, which will be stuck on all the prescriptions of patients.
