Notification


In partial modification of the order issued vide No.23/3/41-UTFI(3)-2006/5468-70, dated 05.09.2006 and further amended vide No.23/3/41-UTFI(3)-2006/398-399,dated 19.01.2007 regarding allowing paying guest accommodation in residential areas of Union Territory, Chandigarh, the Chief Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh in exercise of the powers conferred under proviso to sub-rule(i) of Rule 9 of the Chandigarh Estate Rules, 2007 as amended from time to time, is pleased to amend  clause 5 and add new clause after clause after 12 of the aforesaid order dated 05.09.2006:

Amended

Clause (5)      The paying guest accommodation shall be permitted only in those residential     properties, which are sanctioned as per building byelaws and wherein no unauthorized construction has taken place. Conditional registration will be done pending completion/occupancy certificates, which is required to be taken within 6 months from the date of registration of the paying guest.
Clause (13)     No Objection Certificate from the Chief Fire Officer, Union Territory, Chandigarh is mandatory.
Clause (14)     The owner shall renew the paying guest license annually.   
Clause (15)      Enforcement squad shall check the paying guest accommodation on regular intervals.
Clause (16)     The owner will give self declaration that he/she will follow all the guidelines/rules of the govt.  and in case of any violation, he/she will be responsible for all consequences thereof.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
