Home, Director General of Police, Finance Secretary, Commissioner Municipal
Corporation, Deputy Commissioner and SDM (East) attended the meeting.
The Councillor
expressed his grievance regarding continuous confinement of the local
people. He requested that migrant
workers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar etc. should be allowed to return to their
homes, since they are in Buffer Zone and not in Containment Zone. He also requested that for treating non-covid
cases, a mobile dispensary should be operated within the Bapu Dham Colony. The Councillor expressed his gratitude to
Hon’ble Administrator, Sh. VP Singh Badnore for opening a Sample Collection
Centre within Bapu Dham Colony. He
stated that it will help persons to volunteer themselves for taking their
samples, since they were earlier afraid of going in ambulances to hospitals
fearing infection on the way. The
Councillor thanked the Administrator for setting up a Care Centre within Bapu
Dham Colony, where vulnerable old people, small children and pregnant ladies
could get temporary accommodation.
Adviser, Sh. Manoj
Parida sought the cooperation of Councillor in functioning of Sample Collection
Centre and Old-Age Care Centre functioning from the schools located within the
area. He also stated that vulnerable people
could be taken to a separate centre outside Bapu Dham Colony for isolation, so
that the spread of infection could be avoided.
The Councillor
appreciated the efforts of the Administration and extended full support for
fighting corona together.
