“Dies Non” in respect of the allottees/occupants of Government Houses


 Chandigarh, 22 May 2020: Covid-19 has been declared as a pandemic by World Health Organization (W.H.O) and to control its spread, nationwide lockdown has been imposed.

 Furthermore,  UT Chandigarh Administration had imposed curfew/lockZdown to prevent potential spread of the Covid-19 infection. Many allottees could not move in or vacate their houses due to lockdown. Since it will be unfair to penalize them, the UT Administration has decided to consider the period from 1st March 2020 to 31st May 2020 as “Dies Non” in respect of the allottees/occupants of Government Houses for all means and purposes.  No penal rent will be charged for the period.  The usual house vacation/occupation period will be accordingly extended.
