Singh Badnore today presided over Daily War Room meeting. The meeting was
attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser, UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Sanjay Beniwal,
Director General of Police at Raj Bhawan. The Administrator also interacted
with Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. AK Sinha, Finance
Secretary, Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and Sh. Mandip
Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Deputy Commissioners of
Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services and Director
Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.

DIRECTIONS
1. The
Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh reviewed the
impact of relaxations on lockdown given to the city residents. He stated that
relaxations granted should not be misused. All residents must conduct with self-responsibility
to fight Corona together by following strict social distancing, hand hygenie
etc.
2. The
Administrator directed Director General of Police to ensure that random
screening at inter-state borders continues. All visitors should be advised to
download Aarogya Setu Applications and do self-monitoring.
3. The
Administrator advised the Chiefs of three medical institutions to enhance OPD
facilities, so that the patients, who have been waiting for last several weeks
get their treatment on time.
• Sh.
Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary Health stated that 132 passengers had
come to Chandigarh from abroad and 84 of them have completed their quarantine
period. 48 passengers are continuing to stay in hotels. All of them will be
tested, before being allowed to go home. He also stated that 443
passengers have come by trains to Chandigarh and have been screened.

Sinha, Finance Secretary stated that the demand for special Shramik train has
come down, yet two more trains have been planned to accommodate the remaining
stranded persons, so that they could travel to their native places in Uttar
Pradesh and Bihar.

Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation stated that essential services are
being maintained. Municipal Corporation is ready for the monsoon operation.
Necessary Sanitisation is being done all over the city and a special June drive
has been organized.
• Sh.
Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner stated that till date 60,00,000 cooked
food packets have been distributed among the destitutes and needy persons in
various parts of the city. Similarly, dry rations has been distrubted in Bapu
Dham Colony. The matter has been taken up with the private employers to ensure
that the employees staying in Bapu Dham Colony are not denied their wages.
Further, 3,21,000 persons have downloaded Aarogya Setu Applications in UT,
Chandigarh.
• Sh.
Manoj Parida, Adviser stated that 06 pockets of Bapu Dham Colony, which were
found clean have been exempted from perimeter control, as recommended by the
Affected Area Coommittee, which included administration officials and medical
experts including WHO representative.
• The
Administrator approved end of the perimeter control of these pockets, since
there have been no positive cases in these pockets till date. He also stated
that regular review will be done to decide whether more areas could be granted
similar relaxation from perimeter control.
