VP Singh Badnore today presided over Daily War Room meeting. The meeting
was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser, UT, Chandigarh and Sh. Sanjay
Beniwal, Director General of Police at Raj Bhawan. The Administrator also
interacted with Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. AK Sinha,
Finance Secretary, Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and Sh.
Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Deputy Commissioners
of Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services and
Director Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.

DIRECTIONS
1. On the
basis of reports submitted by the Affected Area Committee and on the
recommendations of Adviser to the Administrator, the Hon’ble Governor Punjab
and Administrator, UT approved the end of Containment Zone limitations of Kachi
Colony, Dhanas.
2. The
Administrator also approved the removal of perimeter control in 06 pockets of
Bapu Dham Colony, which are not having any active corona cases. The
earlier restrictions imposed on entry and exit will stand relaxed. The
Administrator, however, appealed to the residents to take proper care like
social distancing, hand hygiene and wearing of mask in public places and to
avoid risk of infection.
3. The
Administrator mentioned that 1,000 packets of immunity medicines called
“Phytorelief-CC” have been received from Alchem Company as a donation. It
will be distributed among health workers, municipal employees and police
personnel working in the field, if the doctors find it effective in fighting
Covid.
• Dr.
Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER stated that despite repeated requests, non-serious
cases are coming from neighbouring states, which even includes few corona
positive patients. The Administrator directed Adviser to the
Administrator to take up the matter with neighbouring states, so that such patients,
who could be locally treated need not be referred to PGIMER.
• Sh.
Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary Health stated that 200 domestic flyers
have reached Chandigarh and have been advised self-monitoring. He also
informed that there are only 28 active cases in the city now.

Sinha, Finance Secretary stated that nearly 50,000 migrants and stranded
persons have been sent to their native places through Special Shramik Trains
and specially arranged buses.

Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator stated that as directed by the
Administrator, the matter regarding exemption of water and electricity charges
of areas, which were kept under Containment Zone is being examined. He
also clarified that all symptomatic patients in Bapu Dham Colony have been
medically treated. There should be no hesitation among the employees in
accepting them back in their jobs.
• The
Administrator appealed to the residents not to stigmatize the residents of Bapu
Dham Colony and to give them full opportunities for integrating into the
society. He directed Labour Department to take up the matter with the
private employers, so that their pending wages could be paid and job
opportunities increased.
