DNB courses in GMSH-16


Chandigarh.3 June,2020: Govt. Multi Specialty hospital in Sector-16 is more than 500 bedded hospital catering to the need of the patients of tricity with 24 hours round the clock emergency, outdoor and indoor facilities manned by specialists.
 NITI Aayog during the review has appreciated the Health Department for running the DNB courses in different specialties since 2004 and has given an advise to add more DNB courses (Post-Graduate Courses ). Thereafter many departments have been added subsequently for DNB courses with the approval of National Board of Examination, New Delhi.

GOI has been issuing advisories time to time to introduce DNB courses in the District Hospital to strengthen the manpower so as to improve the patient care delivery. Therefore the initiative was taken to further extend the DNB programme in other subjects including Anesthesia, ENT, Pathology, Radiology, Skin etc.

The National Board of Examination has given approval for starting fresh DNB courses in Anesthesia, Pathology and ENT allotting four seats each and for the rest of the departments, the needful inspection has been done and approval has been accorded.

 The GMSH-16 will be able to provide quality Health Care in coming days and will be able to serve the public 24X7 in the department which were providing services during the day time only. The Post graduate award of degree will further strengthen the facility and delivery of services to the patients.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
