Monthly Prizes on Online payments

Chandigarh.12th June,2020:Chandigarh Housing Board recently introduced the facility of online payment of all kind of dues and now the allottees are not required to visit office of the Chandigarh Housing Board and they can pay their dues online by visiting website of the CHB www.chbonline.in. An auto-generated SMS is sent on every successful payment and receipt of the payment can be downloaded instantly. The online payments can be made through Net Banking, Debit Cards and Credit cards, without any extra charge:

• Net Banking
• Debit Cards
• Credit Cards

However a considerable number of allottees are still making offline payments by filing physical challans in different branches of HDFC. It has been observed that following common mistakes are being made during offline payments:

• Using different challan than the prescribed one for the particular payment
• Not mentioning some of the vital information
• Mentioning wrong information about the dwelling unit number, name of the scheme and allottee name etc

Above mistakes are delaying settlements of account and in some cases difficulties are being faced to credit the payment against the correct dwelling unit. Such mistakes are leading to further complications and delay in issue of No Dues Certificate and transfer letters etc. However these issues can be avoided by making online payments.

In the month of March 2020, to further encourage the online payments, it was decided to hold a computerized draw every month to give a reward of Rs. 1000/- each to 10 online payment transactions irrespective of the amount paid. The computerized draw was to be held in the month of April for winners out of the online payments made during the month of March and so on upto December 2020.

Due to Lock-down, the draws of 10 winners for the month of March, April and May could not be held. Now a computerized draw to decide 10 winners for each of these three months will be held on 15th June 2020 and total 30 winners will be given a reward of Rs. 1,000/- each.

All the allottees are again requested to use the online payment facility while paying dues/fees to the Chandigarh Housing Board
