ORDER UNDER SECTION 144 Cr.P.C.


Whereas vide order No.40-3/2020-DM-1(A), dated 24-03-2020, the Union Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India had issued an order under section 10(2)(1) of Disaster Management Act, stipulating lockdown measures for containment of COVID-19 in the country.
Whereas, now the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India in continuation of that order has passed an order dated 30-5-2020 wherein lockdown has been extended in Containment zones upto 30-06-2020, and to reopen prohibited activities in a phased manner in areas outside Containment zones.
Whereas various guidelines have been issued in the above mentioned order including directions to the local authorities to issue prohibitory orders for prohibition of movement of individuals, for all non essential activities between 9:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M.
Now, therefore, in modification of the order no. DM/MA/2020/9163 dated 03.05.2020, I, Mandip Singh Brar, District Magistrate, Union Territory, Chandigarh in exercise of powers vested with me under section 144 of Cr.P.C. do hereby order that there shall be prohibition of movement of individuals, for all non essential activities between 9:00 P.M. to 5:00 A.M. Any breach of this order shall invite action under section 188 of Indian Penal Code.
This order shall come into force with effect from 00:00 hrs on 01.06.2020 and shall remain in force till further orders.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants.
