Chandigarh.10 June,2020: Govt. Multi Speciality Hospital, Sector-16 is a District Hospital with a capacity of 500 beds and running the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) Courses at the District Hospital, GMSH-16, since 2004. The DNB seats are filled through Centralized counseling conducted by the Office of National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi for the departments of Obs & Gynae, Paediatric,  Medicine, Surgery, Orthopadedics, Anaesthesia, ENT, Pathology and likely to approved for Dermatology and Radiology

Chandigarh Administration has taken the major decision to recommend 50% Reservation Policy in selection of DNBs at Chandigarh, the selection of which made by DNB Board at New Delhi. This policy when implemented shall benefit the residents of Chandigarh who fulfill the criteria and shall be eligible to apply in the future.

The criteria is as below:-

1)  Studied for a period of five years in Union Territory of Chandigarh at any time prior to the last date of submission of application.

2)  Candidates whose parents have resided in Union Territory of Chandigarh at any time prior to the last date of submission of application either in pursuit of a profession or holding of a job.

3)  Children of persons who have held/hold immovable property in Union Territory of Chandigarh for a period of five years at any time prior to the last date of the submission of the application. The property should be in the name of the parents or the candidate himself/herself. 

Important

The candidate must submit a certificate to the effect from Principal  of School/College located within the territory of U.T. Chandigarh.

The candidate should submit a certificate issued by the Deputy Commissioner of U.T. Chandigarh to the effect that the candidate or his parents have been residing/have resided in Chandigarh at least for five years.

The candidate must submit a certificate issued by Deputy Commissioner-cum-Estate Officer/Tehsildar stating that the candidate/parents of the candidate have held/are holding immovable property in UT Chandigarh for at least for 5 years prior to the submission of application.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
