Review Meeting of Health Facility Staff / ANMs, LHVs and Medical Officer through video conference


Chandigarh.26 June,2020: The review meeting of ANMs and LHVs and Medical Officer  held today. The status of service deliveries under Maternal Health, Child Health, Family Planning, Immunization, NCD &.Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was reviewed by Dr. G. Dewan, Mission Director, NHM and Director Health & Family Welfare, U.T. Chandigarh.

In view of pandemic of Covid-19 and obeying the rule of social distancing, Health Department, U.T. Chandigarh has utilized the web video conference mode and Tablets,   provided to the ANMs of Health Facilities for discussing the steps for improving the Maternal and Child Health Care and immunization services in the current situation of Covid-19 in U.T. Chandigarh.

Dr G. Dewan, Director Health & Family Welfare, UT Chandigarh has also sensitized the Health worker on the COVID -19 situations and emphasizes to focus on the Anemia, Tracking, Immunization services, etc.
  •  Annual indicators (both HMIS and RCH portal )  of various centers were reviewed and  discussed  component wise. 
  •  ANMs were also guided on ways to improve the indicators.
  •  COVID guidelines as shared by GOI were also shared with the centers.
  • After the presentation of each component, Issues/queries raised by the Medical Officer in charge /LHV/ANM pertaining to the subject were discussed under the supervision ofAnchor District Family Welfare Officer cum Program officer U.T Chandigarh.

Dr Manju Behl represented the issues pertaining to Maternal, Child Health & Family Planning also. Dr. Sangeeta Ajay, Nodal Officer, NHM and Distt. Immunization Officer also present during the meeting.

This is the first initiative in which Health Department, Chandigarh has undertaken review meeting and sensitization of the field functionaries on the platform of web VC using the existing  Tablets provided to the ANMs.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
