Sh. VP Singh Badnore today presided over Daily War Room meeting. The meeting was attended by Sh. Manoj Parida,
Adviser, UT, Chandigarh, Sh. Arun Gupta, Principal Secretary (Home), Sh. Sanjay
Beniwal, Director General of Police, Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Finance Secretary,
Sh. KK Yadav, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and Sh. Mandip Singh Brar,
Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Deputy Commissioners of
Mohali & Panchkula, Director-PGIMER, Director Health Services and Director
Principal, GMCH through Video Conferencing.
WAR
ROOM DIRECTIONS
1.Dr.
Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER stated that they have tested 414 covid samples, out
of which 12 were found positive. 06 of
the positive samples belong to Chandigarh.
Dr. BS Chavan, Director Principal, GMCH stated that they have tested 139
covid samples, out of 07 were found positive.
Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health Services stated that all asymptomatic and
their primary contacts are being tested, as per the ICMR’s Guidelines. Further, all flu clinic, patients having
slightest symptoms of fever, throat infection or breathing problems are being
tested.
2.Director,
PGIMER mentioned that they are conducting their own covid tests on patients
coming from outside, even when they carry their own covid negative
certificates, issued by other authorities.
He complained about patients from outside Chandigarh falsely giving
local addresses.
The Administrator directed Principal Secretary
Health to look into such cases of wrong information.
3.Deputy
Commissioner, Mohali stated that they have 79 active cases. Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula stated that
they have 18 active cases. Deputy
Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh stated that they have 98 active cases.
4.Sh.
Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh stated that 4,01,011
Aarogya Setu Applications have been downloaded in the city.
5.The
Administrator directed Principal Secretary Health to ensure that all
bio-medical waste, particularly PPEs are scientifically disposed off.
6.The
Administrator directed health officials to ensure that the teams going for
screening should carry oximeter, so that oxygen level could be checked
instantly. This could help in detecting
severity of infection, if any.
