Adviser to the Administrator interacts with Rayat College of Law on Chandigarh Administration’s Fight with Corona


Chandigarh, 9th July 2020: Sh. Manoj Parida, Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh attended a webinar on Chandigarh Administration’s fighting Corona, organised by Rayat College of Law. 

Dr. Charu Dureja, Faculty Convener & Ms. Purba Juneja compered the programme wherein the participants asked several questions regarding steps taken by Chandigarh Administration in containing Corona Virus in the Union Territory.

They also asked enquired about the comparative jobs privileges between judiciary and civil service.  The Adviser to the Administrator mentioned about the unique steps taken in Chandigarh like use of public buses for delivery of vegetable and fruits at door steps, facility of hotels for health workers, introduction of stickers in front of quarantined houses and successful operation in ending infection in Bapu Dham Colony. 

Several Law students asked about conduct of examinations during Corona days.  They also asked future plans of Chandigarh Administration regarding further restrictions and relaxations.  Sh. Manoj Parida inspired the students through motivational stories and also stated that the Government alone cannot fight Corona, the support people is extremely important.
