National Digital Health Mission for UT


Chandigarh.20 July,2020: Government of India has contoured its journey towards achieving Universal Health Coverage by launching The National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). NDHM envisages a holistic and comprehensive health eco-system that will enable creation of a strong public digital infrastructure and digitally empower individuals, doctors, and health facilities, facilitate electronic signatures, make paperless registrations and payments, and provide opportunities to deploy systems to streamline healthcare information. The National Health Authority (NHA) is implementing the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) under the guidance of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. In this regards Sh. Dr Indu Bhushan, CEO, Ayushman Bharat cum NDHM visited Chandigarh and delivered a detailed presentation of NDHM implementation overview to  Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh Sh. V.P.Singh Badnore; along with Adviser to Administrator, Sh. Manoj Parida; and Sh. Arun Kumar, Principal Secretary- Health, Dr. G. Dewan, Director Health Services and Dr Sangeeta, Nodal Officer NHM and NDHM team,today.

A total of four systems will be developed in the first phase which will be implemented in the selected Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

           One of the first systems to be built will be Swasthya Account which is a Digital Health Identifier for all individuals to create their identity in the national healthcare system for ease of access to their personal health information

           A comprehensive central repository of all health care providers and practitioners (HCPs), uniquely identified in India, to provide a one-stop solution for streamlined medical practice, known as “Digi Doctor” will be made.

           A comprehensive central repository of all health care facilities uniquely identified in India, which will maintain, store and facilitate exchange of standardized data, named as “Health Facility Registry”.

           The system will digitize health records of patients’ inclusive of various documents such as diagnostic report, discharge summary, prescription, etc. shared by various health establishments and doctors to help patients effectively manage their care in the form of “Personal Health Records”.

Also,The CEO NHA held the meeting in UT Guest House along with the doctors of IMA to sensitize them and emphasize its practical application for the welfare of patient in keeping of their medical record for good follow-ups.

India, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing digital economy is home to the second largest population of internet subscribers. Increasing digital literacy, internet penetration and Government initiatives in digitalization of services have propelled India’s digital leap. These digital drivers have provided the impetus for the Government to envision digitalization in India’s healthcare sector in its National Health Policy, 2017 and the National Digital Health Blueprint, 2019.

Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. E auction of various commercial, residential and industrial sites to begin in Chandigarh

7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
