Chandigarh.24th May,2021: The Chandigarh Administration in association with the Indian Red Cross Society. U.T. Branch, Chandigarh has started *OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR BANK FOR COVID PATIENTS* who need Oxygen when in home isolation or after discharge from hospital. The patients requiring concentrator may contact at the following helpline number:- Helpline No.- +91-6280726662 Timings - 9.00 am to 5.00pm The applicant is required to submit following documents:- *COVID Positive Report of patient. *Doctor’s Prescription for oxygen requirement. *Any Residential Proof of U.T. Chandigarh. After confirming the eligibility, the applicant will be informed telephonically regarding availability of Oxygen Concentrator. The security amount of Rs.5,000/- will be required to be remitted in favour of Indian Red Cross Society, U.T. Branch, Chandigarh. This will be refunded on the return of equipment. Oxygen Concentrator will be delivered by the team of Red Cross at patient’s home. This service is free of cost, but the user will have to bear the repair cost in case of any breakage/damage to the equipment.

“Vote for Healthy Democracy” Campaign

Chandigarh, 18th March, 2019: Taking the “Vote for Healthy Democracy” campaign forward to motivate citizens to use their Right to Vote during the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections of Chandigarh, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh today launched a stamp with the message of "Voting is your Right, Please Cast your Vote". The stamp will be included on all the OPD cards of the patients who visit the hospital.  This initiative is a part of the drive undertaken by Medical Community to motivate more and more people to participate and vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.
