Chandigarh, 2nd June, 2021: Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator, UT, Chandigarh held a review meeting with senior officers of the Administration in UT Secretariat today. After Dr. Amandeep Kang made a presentation regarding the progress of vaccination, the Hon’ble Administrator directed that the speed of vaccination should be enhanced. He also appealed to the Market Associations and shopkeepers to ensure that all their staff gets vaccinated, so that the shops do not become centres for spreading infection. He advised the Health Department to organize special camps to cover vulnerable groups; such as street vendors, hawkers, transport employees etc, who come in contact with large number of people.
The Administrator also reviewed the functioning of Army Hospital, ESI Hospital and Mini Covid Care Centres, which have been designated for covid treatment. He directed them that all should be in readiness and should not become complacent in following covid appropriate behavior. He specially focused on keeping beds reserved for the children, who may get affected with covid.
The Administrator directed that the new signboards indicating the speed limits should be set up at the earliest. He directed Secretary Engineering to examine, if the entire work could be done centrally by the Engineering Department, so that there is uniformity in the signboards is already set up.
7th January 2019: Chandigarh Administration is about to begin the e auction process of various commercial, residential and industrial sites in Chandigarh. 10 residential sites on freehold basis,13 commercial sites on leasehold basis and 1 industrial site on leasehold basis are proposed to be e auctioned. The auction will be made public on 9th January 2019 at 9:00 AM and the documents can be submitted/EMD can be paid from 9th january till 23rd January 2019. Document/EMD approvals will be given from 24th January till 30th January. In addition to this the Estate Department will create a help desk at Estate Office Chandigarh on the above dates to create digital signatures of the applicants. Bidding will begin from 31st January (9:00 AM) till 4th February 2019 (till 4 PM)
