Adviser Listens To Grievances And Demands Of Municipal Corporation Councilors Of Ward No.21 To 26

Chandigarh, 11th August, 2021: A meeting was held today under the Chairmanship of Adviser to Administrator, Sh.Dharam Pal, IAS, to address the grievances and demands of Municipal Corporation Councilors from Ward no.21 to 26, respectively. The meeting commenced with Mayor Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma along with all the present councillors welcoming the new Adviser by presenting bouquet. Among those also present in cluded Mayor Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma along with Sh. Arun Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary Home, Sh.Vijay.N.Zade,IAS, Finance Secretary, Sh.Mandip Singh Brar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and with all other senior officials of Chandigarh Administration, Councillors from Ward No. 21 to 26, viz. Sh.Gurpreet Singh, Sh. Davesh Moudgil, Sh. Bharat Kumar,Sh.Anil Kumar Dubey,Sh.Jagtar Singh and Sh.Vinod Aggarwal. The councilors during the course of meeting raised the demand regarding development oriented projects in their wards. The Adviser assured them regarding fulfillment of their demands and directed the concerned departments to work speedily in this direction following a deadline. The Adviser asked the each concerned department to carefully examine all the issues with regard to their departments and submit the recommendation for the completion of primary health centers/dispensaries, community centres, approach/link roads, traffic lights, sampark centres, bus queue shelters, bus stands, sewerage systems, repairs to the stairs and water tank of the EWS flats in Ramdarbar ,sports complexes, reconstruction of Govt. Model High School, Karson, Ramdarbar Phase-I and a marriage palace in Hallomajra, development of green belt in Raipur Kalan, earmarking of vending lots and to take up with the Railway Authoriries for construction of flyover/Underpass to cross railway line between Village Kishangarh to PS Manimajra in Chandigarh. Taking seriously the matter of beautification of the city at entry and exit points, the Adviser said they are the face and convey the impression of the city hence they must be well maintained. The Adviser further added that since Road and Horticulture are the main features of the city landscape their proper maintenance and upkeep is the need of the hour. Hence, the effective mechanism for expeditious execution of horticulture work in a planned manner be worked out. He also directed that area XENs/SDOs/JEs of these wings shall be accountable in case of any lapse on this count. Also, the Adviser said that each demand will be redressed on merit and the U.T. Administration would extend every assistance. On the occasion, the Mayor thanked adviser for adopting positive approach with regard to the various development projects in the city.
