International Literacy Day

Chandigarh, 8 th September, 2016: International Literacy Day is celebrated all over the world on 8 th September every year. The Adult Education Unit, UT, Chandigarh also organized a function on this occasion on 08.09.2016 at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, DMC, Sector-38(West), Chandigarh. Sh. Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director Secondary Education, UT, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest. Health cum Screening Camp at Chandigarh Transport Undertaking Workshop

Chandigarh, 8 th September, 2016: Chandigarh Health Department in collaboration with Chandigarh Transport Undertaking is going to organize free Health cum Screening Camp at Chandigarh Transport Undertaking Workshop, Industrial Area, Phase - 1, Chandigarh on 10 th September, 2016 (Saturday) from 11.00 AM onwards. This camp will be specifically for employees working under CTU. This is in continuation of previous Seven Health Camps organized at Chandigarh Health Department at Daddu Majra, Maulijagran, Dhanas, Ramdarbar, PHD-25, Civil Dispensary, Sector 8 and Village Behlana, Chandigarh. Celebrations of Nutrition Week

Chandigarh, 8 th September, 2016 : 300 numbers of patients/relatives visited the exhibition with prepared recipes displayed by Department of Dietetics Govt Multi Speciality Hospital Sector 16 on 7 September 2016 during “Nutrition Week”   with national theme “Life Style Approach for Better Nutrition”.     The Medical faculty and the patients were made aware about the usage of healthy ingredients like having energy dense and nutrition for preparation of delicious and healthy tiffins so that children can be boosted in their day to day consumption during the school hours as an alternative and to curb the consumption of Junk food.   A play was staged by the students of Dietetics department under the caption “Ek din Kitchen Mein” which was based on the hand washing techniques by adopting seven steps to educate the paramedical staff and the patients for maintaining the hygiene in preparation of meals in the kitchen.      ...
