Chandigarh, 11 th November, 2016 : Today 2 cases of Dengue have been reported from various health institutions which bring the total number of Dengue cases to 824 in the city. 2 cases of Chikungunya have been reported today out of which all are from Chandigarh. The overall details of 229 cases of Chikungunya detected in Chandigarh is; 45 imported, 53 wrong address and 131 from Chandigarh. To further strengthen the preventive activities, daily fumigation is being carried out alongwith strengthening of field activities which includes mass awareness, checking of breeding sources like coolers, containers, tyres and other sources. Seventh Day of 8th Annual Chandigarh National Crafts Mela

Education Department to Organize 62nd National School Games

Chandigarh, 10 th November, 2016 : The Education Department, Chandigarh Administration is all set to organize the prestigious 62nd National School Games in the discipline of Baseball w.e.f.  11 th  to 15 th  November, 2016. The 62nd National School Games will be organized under the aegis of School Games Federation of India. Around 500 players and officials are expected to arrive in the city from 9 th  November onwards. These will comprise players from different 14 states, UTs and units of School Games Federation of India. The opening ceremony of the games will be held at Govt. Model Sr. Secondary School, Sector-37 B, Chandigarh. Launch of Grievance Redressal Call Centre

Chandigarh, 10 th  November, 2016 : Sh. V.P Singh Badnore, Administrator, U.T Chandigarh today launched the grievance redressal call centre at the Punjab Raj Bhawan. The launch saw the august presence of Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T Chandigarh, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, U.T Chandigarh, Sh. Arjun Sharma, IAS (P), Sh. Rajiv Gupta, PCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, along with other senior officials of the administration.  The newly launched Call Centre project for Chandigarh Administration with the Vision and Scope of Work will serve as a front end. A Call centre solution is being developed to take all the queries and complaints of the citizens of Chandigarh. Team of Nottingham City Council gave Presentation in Smart City Workshop

Chandigarh, 8 th November, 2016 : A two day workshop on Smart City began today at U.T, Guest House, Chandigarh where the team from Nottingham City Council would be giving presentation on three main segments- Waste Management, Incubation and Transport. On the first day of the workshop, presentation was given on Waste Management and Incubation. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, the Adviser to the Administrator, U.T, Chandigarh, Sh. Baldeo Purushartha, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sh.
