Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   Activities conducted for three days i.e. from 2nd – 4th April, 2017 during Pulse Polio Campaign ‘Do Boond Zindgi Ki’ to win the war of eradicating Polio from the society and to immunize the children in the age group of 0-5 Years with Oral Polio Drops were successfully completed today. The campaign was held for three days in which Day 1 was dedicated for Booth Round and Day 2 & 3 were planned for door to door visit to immunize all children of Chandigarh in this age group with Oral Polio drops. A total of 1, 00, 236 children were immunized with oral polio drops during pulse polio activity and 929 teams visited 2, 65, 042 Houses and immunized Children with oral polio drops on day 2 and 3. Allocation of Liquor Vends

Chandigarh, 4 th   April, 2017:   The process for receiving tenders for the allocation of liquor vends in Chandigarh, begun on 02.04.2017 and ended today where the bidders submitted their applications at the Additional Town Hall Building, Sector-17, Chandigarh. The Administration had advertised 77 licensing units to be allotted for the year 2017-18. Completion of renovation work of SDM (East) office

Chandigarh, 3 rd April, 2017:  Consequent upon the renovation work in the office of SDM (East), Industrial Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh, the work of registration of new vehicle relating to that office was shifted to the main office of Registering & Licensing Authority in Sector-17 w.e.f. 01.11.2016. Now the renovation work has been completed and the office of SDM (East) at Industrial Area, Phase-1, Chandigarh has started functioning normally. As a result, the work of registering new vehicle under the jurisdiction of SDM (East) has also now shifted to the SDM office in Industrial Area with effect from 05.04.2017. Inauguration of Audio Guide at Government Museum

Chandigarh today inaugurated the Audio Guide at the Government Museum and Art gallery, Sector 10, Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh Administration, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, IAS, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, Smt. Kriti Garg, IAS, Director Museum and Art Gallery, Sh. Manoj Arora, Director, PEC University, Sh. Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, Chandigarh Administration,  Sh. S.D. Sharma, Senior most Architect and other officials of the Chandigarh Administration. Pulse Polio Campaign

Chandigarh, 2 nd  April, 2017:   Pulse Polio Campaign April round started in Chandigarh today in booths setup at different locations. Dr. Rakesh Kashyap, Director Health & Family Welfare, U.T Chandigarh observed the campaign activities at various booths installed in Chandigarh and guided the teams to conduct the activities effectively. Sh. Maheshinder Singh Sidhu, Advocate and Councillor, Sector 8, Chandigarh also participated in this campaign by immunizing the children with Oral Polio Drops at Polio Booth installed at Sukhna Lake, Sector 1, Chandigarh.  Dr. Anu Chopra Dosajh, District Immunization Officer was also present. Day 1 of Pulse Polio Campaign is completely dedicated for booth activities and door to door activities will be done in next two days of campaign.
