Chandigarh got its First Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana Center at EDC

Chandigarh, 3 rd  August 2018 : In sync with the vision of Government of India, Chandigarh skill development mission (CSDM) in association with SPIC under the aegis of Department of Information Technology launched its first Pradhan  Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Center   of Chandigarh  in EDC Building in Chandigarh Technology Park today under  PMKVY scheme which is a flagship skill development program of Government.    The Centre was inaugurated by Sh. Arjun Sharma , IAS,  Director Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration in the presence of senior  officials of  Chandigarh administration with launch of its first batch of PMKVY trainees. On this occasion Sh. Arjun Sharma , IAS, Director Information Technology interacted with trainees  and highlighted the benefits  of the PMKVY courses and encouraged them to take the course  seriously....

Teachers of 149 Schools Participated in Eco Clubs Training Programme

Chandigarh, 2nd August 2018:  An orientation programme for Eco Club incharge teachers was organized today by Department of Environment, Chandigarh Administration and Yuvsatta-an NGO at New Public School, Chandigarh. Representative teachers from 149 Schools where Eco Clubs are already established participated in the same. Mr. Santosh Kumar, IFS, Director, Department of Environment & Chief Conservator of Forests & Wildlife was the Chief Guest and prominent other participants included Dr. Abdul Qayum, Dy. Chandigarh, 2nd August, 2018:   Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (DIVYANGJAN) Government of India along with Dr. Sanjay Kant Prasad, Deputy Chief Commissioner, Government of India today visited UT Chandigarh to review the status of implementation of the Persons with Disabilities Act,1995 & Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 in Chandigarh. The visit began with a meeting of the Chief Commissioner with Sh. "PALASH DAY CELEBRATED"

Chandigarh, 24 th  July, 2018:  The Department of Forests & Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration in collaboration with Yuvsatta – an NGO organized today organized ‘Palash Day Celebrations’  at  Forest Area behind Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh . Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Home Secretary-cum-Secretary (Forests), Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Around 150 students from Delhi Public School, Sector-40, Govt. Girls Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector 18-D, St.Stephen’s School, Sector 45-B, Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26 and Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management, Sector-42 participated in the endeavor.
